First-Year Applicants
You are considered a first-year student if you are currently in high school or if you graduated with a GED or high school diploma but have not yet enrolled in a degree-seeking program. We look forward to welcoming you to 麻豆果冻 to discover your brilliance!

Application Checklist
1. Completed Application
You must complete either the or the . Both applications have the same requirements and your application choice will not have a bearing on your admission decision. Regardless of your application choice, there is no fee to apply to 麻豆果冻.
2. Official High School Transcripts
Once available, submit your official high school transcripts. You do not need to submit your transcripts at the same time as your Moravian application. This can be done after submission.
A high school college-preparatory curriculum should include the following courses:

AP Credits
麻豆果冻 awards credit to students who have passed at an acceptable level certain Advanced Placement Examinations taken prior to admission.
Credit by Examination
麻豆果冻 recognizes the concept of 鈥渃ourse equivalency,鈥 which permits the University to certify the educational value of private study and other out-of-class experiences and, following appropriate evaluation by the University, enables the student to receive academic credit toward a degree. Some ways by which students may receive advanced placement and credit by examination are detailed in the following tables. A maximum of 8 course units for credit by examination, in any combination, may be applied to a 麻豆果冻 degree.

麻豆果冻 awards credit to students who have passed at an acceptable level certain Advanced Placement Examinations taken prior to admission. Minimum scores are given below:

鈥 The Department of Economics and Business will waive the requirement for Economics 152 upon the student鈥檚 completion of both tests with a minimum score of 4.
3. Standardized Test Scores (Optional!)
惭辞谤补惫颈补苍鈥檚 Test-Optional Policy makes the submission of SAT and ACT standardized test scores optional if you are applying for undergraduate admission.
Your scores will still be accepted and considered if you desire. However, if you feel your test scores are not an accurate representation of your academic abilities, you can choose not to have your scores considered for admission.
If you choose not to submit test scores, it will not hurt your application! Test scores are not required in order to be considered for most scholarships and financial aid.
4. Recommendation
In your application, you should include the contact information of at least one recommender鈥攖his could be your school counselor, principal, another school official, or an 11th- or 12th-grade teacher. We will reach out to them for a recommendation.
5. Essay
An essay is an opportunity for Moravian to get to know you better and for you to distinguish yourself in your own voice. What do you want us to know about you apart from courses, grades, and test scores? Your submission should be well written, but it doesn't need to necessarily be an "essay." Examples of topics include personal hardships or great accomplishments. You鈥檒l have an option to upload this essay with your application.
6. Special Program Requirements
Your program of interest may have additional application requirements. Please review the list below and submit the additional materials if necessary:
Prospective nursing majors are required to meet additional prerequisites. View all nursing requirements.
Prospective art majors are encouraged, but not required, to submit a portfolio of their work along with their application for admission. View portfolio submission guidelines.
Since an audition is required for admission to the music major, students who are planning to major in music at Moravian should arrange an audition with the Music Department directly by calling 610-861-1650. View music requirements.
