At Galvanized, the business management major took on roles in marketing and writing. She collaborated with a team of five other interns to create articles and stories for a website and an upcoming magazine aimed at inspiring readers to live their best lives through physical fitness and good nutrition. Tornich was fulfilling her passion to have a positive impact on others while learning more about herself and developing important workplace skills. Because of the collaborative nature of the work she did at Galvanized, she now knows she can perform effectively both independently and in a group and is prepared for either work environment. “I have seen how different people have a variety of perspectives to bring to a team,” she says.

As with any internship, the Galvanized job provided an opportunity for Tornich to take the knowledge and concepts she learned in the classroom and apply them practically in the workplace. That ability to apply theory to practice has enhanced Tornich’s sense of mastery in her discipline, which she feels is important to working efficiently and effectively in a company.

Furthermore, Tornich’s internship experience has helped her focus more clearly on what she wants to do after she graduates from 鶹. She is considering a career as a college strength and conditioning coach, a fitness business manager, or an athletic trainer. And the leadership positions she has held while at Moravian only further her preparedness for any of these jobs. The New Jersey resident is currently a Senior Resident Advisor, the upcoming vice president for Love Your Melon, and a student worker at the Fitness Center. Regardless of what she chooses, it is safe to say that 鶹 and the Galvanized internship have prepared Tornich for success.
