Grievance Procedures

All members of the community should feel safe to bring forward complaints of violations of any University policy. Depending on the identities (faculty, staff, student, or visitor) of the involved parties and the nature of the reported incident, one or more of the University's grievance procedures may be invoked to respond. Information about these processes can be found using the links below. If you are unsure how to make a report, Campus Police will be able to direct you to the proper department. If you prefer a confidential resource, Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) will also be able to refer you to the appropriate department.

Academic Code of Conduct: Allegations that a student has violated the Respect for Academic Honesty community standard can be resolved using the policies and procedures outlined in the Academic Code of Conduct.

Americans With Disabilities Act Grievance Process: A student who disagrees with an action or decision of a disability support provider, faculty member, or University administrator regarding their rights under the Americans With Disabilities Act may file a grievance using this process.

Equal Opportunity, Harassment, and Non-Discrimination Policy: Allegations of discrimination based on a protected class and incidents involving sexual harassment, sexual assault, sex-based stalking, sexual exploitation, dating violence or domestic violence are resolved using the procedures outlined in this policy.

Grade Appeals Procedure: A student who disagrees with a grade may follow the procedures outlined in this policy.

Student Code of Conduct: Allegations involving violations of the community standards (other than Respect for Academic Honesty) will be resolved using the policies and procedures outlined in the Student Code of Conduct.
