Admission Criteria
The Summer 2025 OTCAS Application opens July 19, 2024
Application Deadlines:
- Early: October 15, 2024
- International applicants: November 1, 2024
- Regular: January 7, 2025
Applications are open until March 1, 2025
On-campus interviews will be held on November 9, 2024
App must be completed and verified by 10/15/24
Qualified students who apply after the deadline will be interviewed on a rolling basis as space becomes available. We recommend applying early.

- Minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0
- Minimum pre-requisite GPA of 3.0
- Three letters of recommendation
- Written personal statement
- Resume
- Interview
- Grade of C or higher in the following pre-requisites:
Prerequisite coursework may be completed online. Please note that courses with a lab component must include the lab if taken online.- Statistics (3 credits)
- Introduction to Sociology or Anthropology (3 credits)
- Developmental/Lifespan Psychology (3 credits)
- Psychopathology or Abnormal Psychology (3 credits)
- Human Anatomy & Physiology I & II (6-8 credits, lab required)

English as a Second Language Students
IELTS/TOEFL - Students who do not consider English to be their primary language are required to submit official scores of a recent IELTS (International English Language Testing System) or TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) examination. Minimum scores for each test can also be found below:
- IELTS: 6.5 or higher
- TOEFL Paper: 577 or higher
- TOEFL Computer: 233 or higher
- TOEFL Internet: 90 or higher
Current Â鶹¹û¶³ Students
Current Â鶹¹û¶³ students who wish to enter the Â鶹¹û¶³ Master of Science in Occupational Therapy Program should complete the Health Sciences major's pre-occupational therapy track. Other majors may apply; please reach out to Dr. Potter if you are interested.
Students completing the Health Sciences major at Â鶹¹û¶³ who meet the following criteria are granted automatic admission to the Master of Science in Occupational Therapy Program.
- Graduated from Â鶹¹û¶³ with a degree in Health Sciences
- Completed a minimum of 16 units of coursework at Â鶹¹û¶³
- Â鶹¹û¶³ cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher
- Grades of B or higher in all prerequisite courses
- Completed observation hours with a licensed occupational therapist
- Successful admission interview
